PFERD Abrasive Fan Grinders offers the ideal solution for numerous fine grinding applications, from coarse stock removal to finer surface finishing. The abrasive flaps are arranged radially around the tool axis in a fan-type form. The flexibility of the flaps enables them to adapt perfectly to the contours of the workpiece. The abrasive flaps consist of flexible cloth backing which wear down systematically as the abrasive reaches end-of service life. PFERD’s Fan Grinder range consist of various sizes and grit sizes as well as grain types suitable for a broad range of materials and applications.

Operating instruction:
- Optimum cutting speed 15 – 20 m/s. (12 000 RPM)
- Maximum RPM: 25 400 (40 m/s)
- To avoid breakage, the maximum permissible RPM should not be exceeded under any circumstances.
- Contact pressure to be reduced if optimum recommended RPM is exceeded.
- Maximum shank overhang = 15mm.
- Ensure correct and suitable personal protective equipment is worn while using the tool.
